The collaborative process is a respectful, constructive interdisciplinary process for resolving issues arising from marriage, cohabitation, separation and divorce. You will leave this program qualified to be a collaborative professional and start a collaborative practice.
What you will learn

The qualifications and roles of the collaborative team members: the lawyers, family professional, child specialist and the financial professional. There will be particular emphasis on how lawyers redefine advocacy for conflict resolution.

The choreography of an interdisciplinary collaborative case, from the initial client interview, process design, enrolling the other spouse, client and team preparation and debriefing and effective meetings.

The critical skills and knowledge required for collaboration, including principled negotiation, effective team work, non-defensive communication and understanding conflict and trauma.
